Rep. Bae Hyun-jin, from the People's Power, demanded a self-audit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, saying, "It was confirmed that the visit of Kim Jung-suk, the wife of former President Moon Jae-in, to India in 2018 was not a request from the Indian side, but a so-called 'self-invitation'."

Assemblyman Bae said, "The owner at the time also had an official letter sent to the minister from the Korean embassy at the time of the National Assembly audit held by the National Assembly on the morning of the 5th. I made a self-request for a visit to India before, created an emergency, and passed the emergency reserve in three days."

In November 2018, during the Moon Jae-in administration, Mrs. Kim visited the famous Taj Mahal, a famous tourist destination in India, and since then, there has been controversy over the purpose of her visit and the budget spent.

Assemblyman Bae said, "At the time of the controversy, the Blue House explained, 'The visit to India was made in hopes of [Mrs. Kim's] attending from India.' It has been confirmed that India sent an invitation letter in response to the intention of wanting to do so.”

Assemblyman Bae further argued that there was a suspicion that the reserve funds were misused for the visit of Mrs. Kim to the Taj.

Assemblyman Bae said, "If you look at the reserve funds applied to the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, there is no Taj Mahal due to the schedule." "There is no visit to the Taj in the final report of the schedule reported to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Rep. Bae also requested that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conduct its own audit and, if there is a case where Mrs. Kim and others use the national wealth for private purposes, take legal action.
