The Federation for Free North Korean Movement, a group of defectors from North Korea, announced today that it was sent to North Korea by hanging Corona 19 medicines from large balloons in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, around 10 pm on the 1st.
"Mask, Tylenol, vitamin C, leaflets slandering the North Korean regime, and a mobile storage device containing a video informing the human rights situation in North Korea by U.S. and House of Representatives were hung from eight large balloons," said Park Sang-hak, president of the Free North Korea Movement. explained.
This is the seventh time this year that this group has sent balloons containing flyers slandering the North Korean regime to North Korea.
Police arrived at the scene where the members of the group were blowing balloons and stopped them, but in the process, four members of the group cursed and slapped the police officers in the face.
In response, the Paju Police Station said that the members were arrested as current offenders for violating the Inter-Korean Relations Development Act and interfering with the execution of official duties, and after conducting an investigation, they returned home.
The police also said that the group confiscated items such as large balloons that could not be flown at the scene, and that they plan to call them back and conduct a detailed investigation, including assault.
