It has been confirmed that in the indictment written by the prosecution while indicting the former CEO of Doosan E&C and the former head of the Strategic Promotion Team of Seongnam City without detention in relation to the 'suspicion of Seongnam FC sponsorship', it was confirmed that Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party, and Jeong Jin-sang, head of the political affairs coordination office, also conspired in conspiracy.

The Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office yesterday (30th) charged Mr. A, a former CEO of Doosan E&C, and Mr. B, a former strategic promotion team leader of Seongnam City, on charges of bribery to a third party and bribery of a third party, respectively.

Mr. A donated KRW 5 billion to Seongnam FC between 2014 and 2016, and received preferential treatment for changing the hospital site in Jeongja-dong, Bundang-gu, owned by the Doosan Group, to a commercial site.

Former Seongnam City Strategic Promotion Team Leader B, who attracted donations from Doosan, is also accused of taking bribes from a third party.

Prosecutors confirmed that Mr. B stated in the indictment that he had conspired with Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, and Jeong Jin-sang, head of the political affairs coordination office.

As soon as the prosecution completes investigations into other companies that donated money to Seongnam FC, such as Naver and CHA Hospital, it is expected that the investigation schedule will be coordinated with CEO Lee and Chief Executive Officer Jung.
