Netflix

advances in its plans to enter the

video game

market with the creation of its own development studio in Helsinki, Finland, which will contribute to the creation of original titles.

The 'streaming' company has established its new

video game development

studio in the Finnish capital, a city that brings together "some of the best video game talent in the world", where they will build it from scratch.

At the helm is Marko Lastikka, as he reports in a statement on his blog.

This new studio joins the one that Netflix already has in Helsinki together with Next Games, and those of Night School Studio and Boss Fight Entertainment, which together will create video games to cover the different tastes of users of the streaming platform.

The company's intention is to

create original games,

which it will distribute on its service without ads or internal purchases.

He clarifies that creating a game "can take years" and that they are currently in the first steps of building their video game studios.
