"Why are you looking for me?"

At around 11:20 pm on the 26th, a phone call was received from the Bangrim District in Nam-gu, Gwangju.

It was about 30 minutes after a fire broke out in a car parked in an alley in Bangrim-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju.

The police, who were tracking a suspect who had recently set fire to a parked vehicle in the Nam-gu area and fled, immediately realized that the call was from the suspect, Kim (42).

At around 1 am on the 23rd, the police suspected arson when they saw traces of burnt clothing in the back of a burned-out vehicle on a roadside in Bongseon-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju.

Mr. Kim disappeared with a lock on his bicycle and truck in the yard of his house, but on the same day, when pillows and other items came out from under the burnt car again on that day, the police determined that it was Mr. Kim's fault.

When the siege was closed, Kim, feeling pressured, called the police station, and the police immediately looked up the number and found that Mr. Kim was calling from a pay phone in Baekun-dong.

The police continued conversations with Kim naturally, such as persuading him to surrender, while six other workers were immediately divided into three patrol cars and dispatched to the scene.

The police, who arrived at the scene in 10 minutes, blocked the escape route and caught Mr. Kim, who came out of the public phone booth.

After the first arson in Bongseon-dong on the 23rd and 26th, Kim set fire to two additional vehicles in Baekun-dong and Bangrim-dong, even after he fled.

There were no casualties, but the police estimated that property damage of 30 million won occurred.

During the police investigation, Kim reportedly stated that "I set fire to relieve stress."

Oh Myung-sik, a team leader in the Bangrim District of the Southern Police Station, said, "I was only thinking of arresting them quickly because there is a possibility that there is a possibility of casualties when there is a fire in an alleyway, in front of a construction site, or in a residential area." .
