According to the prison administration, these agents are heard following the complaint of a prisoner for facts which date back to the beginning of January.

Seven days of incapacity for work for the detainee

The detainee was issued "an incapacity for work less than or equal to eight days", said the prosecution.

According to a source familiar with the matter, this amounts to seven days.

Prison union sources claimed that the guards heard belong to Sequedin prison, near Lille.

According to the source familiar with the matter, the facts date back to January 3, when the guards intervened for a disturbance in a cell occupied by two prisoners.

One of them is discovered naked in the shower, with a frying pan in his hand, insulting his co-detainee.

Deemed threatening, he was then handcuffed and taken from his cell to be placed in a disciplinary unit, according to this same source.

On this occasion, the detainee said he was abused, according to the source, who pointed out that the prison video surveillance images show that he was knocked to the ground by the agents while he was handcuffed.

Also heard, his fellow prisoner reported threats from the guards if he denounced the facts.
