Marie-Christine Saragosse wants to continue her adventure at the head of France Médias Monde.

She is thus seeking a third term to chair the public audiovisual group, which includes France 24, RFI, and Monte Carlo Doualiya, an Arabic-language radio station.

Her "candidacy is part of a process of stability for the group" in a period of "uncertainty", she said.

Arcom will appoint the future president of France Médias Monde

The presidency of France Médias Monde will be appointed no later than January 23 by Arcom, the audiovisual regulator, for a five-year term.

The list of candidates for the presidency of France Médias Monde will be made public by Arcom on October 27 and the hearings will start on November 14.

Aged 62, Marie-Christine Saragosse has been managing France Médias Monde since 2012.

"The offers of France Médias Monde (radio, television and digital offers) have seen their broadcasting and distribution progress over the period", declared Arcom at the end of July, recalling that France 24 "is aimed at 482 million households at the end of 2021 (+37% compared to 2017)".
