joint investigation was held today (27th) at the site of the Daejeon Hyundai Outlet fire that killed 7 people.

Police first confirmed that the ignition point was around a one-ton truck in an underground parking lot.

This is TJB reporter Yang Jeong-jin.

The car that was going down to the Hyundai Outlet underground parking lot suddenly stopped.

A fire rages in the distance from the parking lot.

Feeling strange and hurriedly backing up, a thick black smoke obscures my vision in an instant.

This is a black box video at the time of the Daejeon Hyundai Outlet fire, in which 7 people were killed and 1 was seriously injured.

This is the underground parking lot that is the initial ignition point.

One day after the fire, the inside of the underground parking lot was charred, and the exterior is full of traces of the fire.

About 40 forensics teams, including the police and the National Forensic Service, first looked at the truck suspected to be the ignition point and its surroundings.

However, it is known that there were electrical facilities such as electrical outlets nearby.

The police confirmed that sparks were flying between the truck and the load through CCTV, and began an investigation focusing on the truck.

It is still unclear whether firefighting facilities such as sprinklers and indoor fire hydrants were operating normally.

While some screens did not show sprinklers at the time of the fire, there were also reports that there was water on the floor, so more confirmation is needed.

It is also a part to look into whether the 24 items of supplementation, such as the faulty wire of the fire detector in the basement that the fire department pointed out three months ago, were observed.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor is also investigating whether the fire violates the Act on Punishment of Serious Accidents.
