14 workers who inhaled a chemical leak from a factory in Yeosu National Industrial Complex in Jeollanam-do are receiving treatment.

It is known that the workers who were working on the expansion of the factory do not have any serious health problems.

Cyclohexane, a flammable liquid, leaked from a factory in Yeosu Industrial Complex around 10:45 am today (22nd).

Cyclohexane is a chemical that is classified as a hazardous material and is not very harmful to the human body.

It was confirmed that cyclohexane was leaking from the valve on the rubber production line at this plant.

It is said that the chemical leaked because the valve was not properly closed during the change of piping.

14 workers who were on site at the time have been taken to the hospital and checked for health.

They inhaled some of the leaked chemicals, but their health is said to be intact so far.

The line was not in operation because it was under construction.

The victims were identified as employees of a contractor who was working on an extension.

The factory is investigating the extent of the damage and the cause of the accident.
