The prosecution executed a search warrant prior to the interrogation of the suspect before the arrest of former Star Mobility Chairman Kim Bong-hyeon, a key figure in the Lime Asset Management (Lime) incident.



The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office received a warrant from the court for reasons such as fears of escaping and executed it at 6:30 in the morning of today (20th) at Kim's home.



Prosecutors requested an additional preliminary arrest warrant on the 14th for the charge of extorting 9 billion won from about 350 investors by deceiving Kim, saying, "I will guarantee the principal and yield on unlisted stocks" between 2017 and 2018.



The warrant review for former Chairman Kim will be held at 10:30 am today at the Southern District Court.



The warrant review was originally scheduled for the 16th, but former Chairman Kim requested an extension of the date due to the appointment of an additional attorney.



The press conference scheduled for 10 am today by Kim and his lawyers has been canceled due to the execution of the search warrant by the prosecution.



It is known that former Chairman Kim's side was planning to further expose the 'suspicious entertainment of former and current prosecutors'.



Former Chairman Kim was arrested in May 2020 on charges of stealing tens of billions of won from Suwon passengers and Star Mobility funds and providing money and entertainment to politicians and prosecutors. .



The first trial in relation to the charge of serving alcohol by former and current prosecutors is scheduled for the 30th of this month.
