The police have made a decision not to disapprove of allegations against former President Lee Jun-seok of People's Power, including the alleged sexual assault.

The anti-corruption and public crime investigation team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has decided not to send the case to the prosecution on charges such as mediation, where the statute of limitations is imminent.

It was confirmed that the police sent a fax to the complainant's side, including the Garosero Research Institute, as a result of the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, it was reported that the notice contained reasons such as the expiration of the statute of limitations for non-compliance.

Among the charges that former CEO Lee is facing, the statute of limitations in the Prostitution Punishment Act is 5 years, and the statute of limitations for mediation is 7 years.

Police said they will continue to investigate other accusations such as destruction of evidence and false accusations.

On the 16th, the police summoned former CEO Lee and conducted an investigation for 12 hours on various allegations, including allegations of sexual assault.
