A 60-year-old man who brutally stabbed his lover dozens of times when he asked for a breakup was sentenced to prison.

Yesterday (18th), Chuncheon District Court Criminal Division 1 (Chief Judge Shin Gyo-shik) announced that A (61), who was charged with murder, was sentenced to 28 years in prison and ordered to attach an electronic device for 10 years.

On the morning of April 11, during an argument with a woman in her 60s, B, who was demanding a breakup at a coffee shop in Wonju on the morning of April 11, Mr. A was handed over to trial on charges of stabbing Mr. B 28 times and killing him.

A and B started dating around April of last year and broke up in February of this year, but it is said that Mr. A has repeatedly visited the store run by Mr. B and threatened to meet again, threatening with a weapon.

On the morning of the crime, A went to B's house with a weapon.

When Mr. A threatened with a weapon in front of the front door, Mr. B comforted him by saying, 'You must not make a fuss', and Mr. A put the weapon back in his pocket.

After that, Mr. B went to a tea house run by an acquaintance to avoid Mr. A and tried to lock the door, but Mr. A, who followed immediately, also came inside and had an argument.

Mr. A started stabbing Mr. B with her weapon while the owner of the tea house was watching, and he continued the crime by ignoring the witnesses who stopped it.

After the crime, Mr. A, who tried poisoning in a motel 100 meters away from a tea house, was caught by the police on his way back to the scene of the incident.

During the trial, Mr. A claimed that the crime was "accidental," but the court said, "He prepared a weapon in advance and went to the victim, and committed the crime with a firm intention to kill the victim when it did not go against his will." It is an anti-social crime with a poor quality of crime.”

He added, "It seems that the accused did not have any hesitation in the crime that occurred in a short time of five minutes."

The court said, "The victim's family has petitioned the accused several times for harsh punishment, and the circumstances and motives of the crime are highly likely to be blamed, so severe punishment is inevitable." said.
