When an incumbent police officer got into a drunk driving accident and fled, the police started an investigation after a situation was caught that his direct supervisor tried to dissuade the police officer from taking a breathalyzer test.



The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Traffic Investigation Division has booked Inspector A belonging to the Incheon Central Police Station on charges of not taking action after an accident under the Road Traffic Act.



Superintendent A is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on a road in Jung-gu, Incheon around 0:30 a.m. on the 14th, crashing into the median and fleeing.



The day before the accident, it was investigated that Inspector A had a dinner party with his team members.



Inspector A appeared at the police station around 3 pm on the day of the accident and was investigated, and it was confirmed that he admitted the charges.



After the accident, the police caught the situation where Inspector B, the direct supervisor of Inspector A, asked the traffic accident investigation department not to take a breathalyzer, and they are investigating whether it is true.



A police official explained, "Superintendent A has been released from his position.
