The earthquake, which continued for three days, killed one person and injured more than 140 people so far.

As the train shakes from side to side due to the earthquake, people who evacuated to the platform lower their posture and wait for the vibration to stop.



At 2:40 PM local time yesterday, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck south of Hualien City in eastern Taiwan.



After the magnitude 6.4 earthquake the other day, more than 70 aftershocks continued, and a stronger earthquake occurred yesterday afternoon.



The Taiwanese authorities said the magnitude 6.8 earthquake was the main earthquake, and the 6.4 earthquake the day before was a foreshadowing earthquake.



As of 11 p.m. last night, the Taiwan Associated Press reported that one person had died and 142 others were injured.



Aftershocks continue to occur this morning, with magnitude 4.4 and 3.9 earthquakes occurring at 1-minute intervals.



Along with Taiwan, earthquakes of magnitude 6.1 and 5.5 occurred one after another in the waters around Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, which belongs to the Pacific Rim earthquake zone called the 'Ring of Fire'.
