Tropical vortices in the Northwest Pacific.

Between the 12th and 13th typhoons predicted to evade Korea, the 14th typhoon 'Nanmadol' is visible.

Nan Madol occurred yesterday (14th) around 3 am in the sea 1,300 km southeast of Okinawa, Japan.

According to the current forecast by the Korea Meteorological Administration, it is expected to head northwest toward Okinawa and then turn toward Korea from Saturday evening.

Although the route is still flexible, the Meteorological Agency predicted that it will land in the inland of Kyushu, Japan later.

The U.S., European and Japanese meteorological authorities also predicted that they would land on the Japanese mainland, not on the Korean Strait or the southern coast.

However, since the route is four days later, the reliability is still low.

No matter which direction Nan Madol goes, it is expected to reach the southern coast of Jeju Island. It may rain.

Areas where the ground has been weakened by typhoon 'Hinnamno' and the damage to facilities has not been restored requires preparation.

As Nan Madol moves north, its power is expected to increase up to the 'river' grade, and the temperature of the seawater is expected to be a variable.

The current water temperature in the western Pacific is around 30 degrees, which is about 1 degree higher than normal, which makes the power of typhoons stronger and other typhoons can occur.

The year that Korea was most affected by typhoons in September was in 1959 and 2019, and there were three typhoons in total.
