Police investigation results showed that the fire at the Icheon Hospital in Gyeonggi-do, which took the lives of five people last month, was in fact a human resource.

Naturally, the safety measures that had to be observed were ignored one by one, and a disaster occurred.

A fire at a hospital in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do that killed four patients and a nurse even though they broke the window and went to rescue.

[Patient evacuated at the time: Smoke starts coming up suddenly, but it just comes in even when the door is closed.]

The fire started in Room 1 of the screen golf course just below the dialysis hospital, which was under demolition work.

As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that the fire occurred in the power cord of the air conditioner drain pump here because the worker did not take safety measures.

During the demolition of the building, the electricity must be turned off and the gas turned off, but the demolition company A turned on the fan and air conditioner because the weather was hot at the time.

This caused sparks and a fire in a damp and dusty room that was actually used as a warehouse, police explained.

The fire door didn't do its job either.

This is because the workers put a fire extinguisher in the fire door on the third floor and evacuated while working with the door open.

The construction of the building itself was also a problem.

The steel H-beam column connecting the 3rd and 4th floors was attached only with exterior materials without additional construction in case of fire, so the smoke climbed up the internal pillars and went upstairs.

The police have arrested A, a demolition company, and are investigating six people, including the owner of a screen golf course.

Police said that the CCTV footage of the late Eun-kyung Hyun, a nurse who died right after the fire, evacuating a patient, said it would discuss with the prosecution whether or not to provide data if the agency requests it regarding the designation of a doctor.
