It was a holiday where you could see each other comfortably with your family after a long time.

Today (12th) was a busy day to wrap up the four-day Lunar New Year holiday and prepare to return to daily life.

Then, on the last day of the holiday, let's connect our reporter who is out of the Seoul tollgate to see what the highway is like now.

Reporter Suwon-wook Suh, until the afternoon before, the car was pushed quite a bit, but what about now?

<Reporter>

Yes, it is listed at the Seoul tollgate.

I got out of the Seoul tollgate from dawn and kept watching the traffic conditions, and the highway congestion peaked between 3 and 4 pm, and started to loosen little by little from about 5 pm.

It doesn't look like it's difficult to get up to speed, except for a few habitual congestion sections.

A total of 4.67 million vehicles on the highway today are at the same level as the usual weekend traffic.

As of 8pm, it is expected that it will take 4 and a half hours from Busan to Seoul, 3 hours 20 minutes from Gwangju, and 2 hours 40 minutes from Gangneung.

All are at the same level as usual on weekends.

Currently, traffic flow is not good mainly in areas with frequent congestion close to the metropolitan area.

Currently, about 33km of the Gyeongbu Line is blocked, including the Anseong junction and the section from Oksan to Mokcheon, and the West Coast Line, including the section from Dangjin to Songak, is about 25km congested.

The congestion is expected to be completely resolved after 9 pm.

And on the way to and from home, there were screening stations at some rest stops so that you can get a corona test. How long are they going to be open?

<Reporter>

Yes, during the holidays, temporary screening stations were set up at 9 highway rest areas across the country.

Among them, five screening stations, including Anseong Service Area on the Gyeongbu Line, Icheon Service Area on the Jungbu Line, and Yongin Service Area on the Yeongdong Line, will operate until the 15th.

On the other hand, it would be good to note that the highway toll waiver will continue until midnight today.
