Two open investigations

He was taken into custody.

Two separate investigations were opened.

One was entrusted to the police force, which is systematically the case when police officers use their weapons.

Another investigation for attempted homicide on a person holding public authority was entrusted to the judicial police.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the use of weapons by police and gendarmes is rare.

Of the 26,320 refusals to comply recorded last year, they opened fire 201 times, or less than 1% of cases.
