Typhoon Hinnamno, the 11th typhoon, has now passed through Korea and escaped to the East Sea, but casualties and property damage have continued.

As of 11 am today (6th), the number of casualties caused by the typhoon that the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters identified is 3 people.



A woman in her 70s was found dead after being swept away by a rapid current on the road in Ocheon-eup, Pohang, around 8 am today, and it was found that a man in his 20s went missing in a water accident in Ulsan around 1 am before this.



In Siheung, Gyeonggi-do, a signboard fell in a strong wind, injuring one person.



So far, 2,661 households and 3,463 people have been evacuated from areas at risk of landslide flooding. Gyeongnam has the most with 2,224 people, followed by Jeonnam with 614 and Busan with 366.



In Jeju and Sejong, Gyeonggi, five houses and commercial buildings were flooded or damaged, two vehicles were submerged, and seven fishing boats capsized.



Six public facilities were damaged, including a marina in Shinan, Jeollanam-do and roads in Jeju Island.



1,320 hectares of agricultural land were flooded by typhoons across the country, including 280 hectares in Jeju Island and 115 hectares in North Gyeongsang Province.



There were 162 power outages across the country, including Gyeongnam, Jeju Island, and Jeollanam-do, and more than 66,000 households suffered power outages, and the recovery rate is currently 45.2%.



In Jeju, where the sky route and sea routes were cut off, flights were resumed sequentially from 10 am.



However, the sea route is still completely cut off, and the operation of all 11 Jeju passenger ships and 17 routes has been controlled.



Including this, the operation of 183 passenger ships on 122 routes across the country is under control.



Meanwhile, a simultaneous fire broke out at the Pohang Iron and Steel plant in Gyeongsangbuk-do around 7:20 am, when the typhoon had just passed, and it was completely extinguished in about an hour and 10 minutes. 



Fortunately, there were no casualties, but one of the factories was burnt down due to the futon in the stainless steel and hot rolling mills. 



The fire department and others are investigating the relationship with the typhoon.
