With its Artemis program, NASA intends to send men back to the Moon.

The very first launch of this lunar mission, scheduled for Monday, has however been postponed, reports

For budding astronauts, the takeoff of the SLS mega rocket, the most powerful ever built, can be followed live.

NASA has indeed created a live channel on its YouTube channel on which the launch of the machine will be broadcast.

While waiting for the fateful moment, the video currently only offers a trailer for the historic moment to come.

Several steps before walking (again) on the Moon

The launch of the rocket had to be postponed on Monday because of a fuel leak which was detected a few hours before the launch.

The countdown was initially put on hold before NASA finally confirmed the postponement.

“We will keep you informed of the timing of the next launch attempt,” the US space agency said soberly.

Another possible launch window is Friday, September 2, but NASA has yet to confirm that another launch attempt will take place on that date.

The postponement thwarted the plans of hundreds of thousands of tourists who had traveled to the outskirts of Kennedy Space Center, Florida, to watch the liftoff.

The Artemis return to the Moon program is planned in several stages.

This imminent first launch will be without a crew on board (except for a Snoopy plush,

Six weeks later, if the first take-off is successful, manned flights will begin as part of Artemis 2.
