The Ministry of Public Administration and Security is promulgating tomorrow (31st) an amendment to the 'Enforcement Rules of the Resident Registration Act' that relaxes the requirements for application restrictions on the issuance of the victim's resident registration card in order to prevent the addresses of victims of domestic violence from being exposed to the perpetrators.

Accordingly, in the future, if you submit a confirmation of domestic and sexual violence counseling or a confirmation of admission to a shelter for victims of sexual violence as evidence, you can apply for restrictions on the issuance of resident registration cards.

Previously, it was pointed out that there is a limit to prompt protection measures for domestic violence victims as it is necessary to additionally submit documents stating the fact of domestic violence victims issued by a hospital diagnosis certificate or a police station.

In addition to the sexual assault victim counseling center, a confirmation letter from the Sunflower Center, which provides comprehensive support to victims of sexual violence, is also added to the documentary evidence.

Evidence documents to protect children will also be expanded.

In order to prevent the exposure of the address of abused children who are protected by child welfare facilities, the 'confirmation of child victim protection' issued by the head of the local government is recognized as evidence. A protective order decision is also added as evidence.

A decision on temporary measures for victims of domestic violence is also accepted as evidence.

Previously, only the transcripts and transcripts of the temporary protection order decision and the victim protection order decision were accepted as evidence.

In addition, the court's definitive judgment that it is a domestic violence case and the notification of the investigation result issued by the police station are also accepted as evidence.
