Bae, a key figure in the 'Gyeonggi-do corporate card misappropriation' case,'s warrant substantive examination was held today (30th) at 10:30 am for about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
In the substantive examination of the warrant, the prosecution emphasized the need for arrest for reasons such as destruction of evidence, but it is known that Bae still denied the charges applied to him.
After the examination, Bae is currently on standby at the Suwon Nambu Police Station detention center.
Bae, who arrived at the court earlier, went into the courtroom avoiding the reporters.
Bae is known to have served as an assistant to his spouse Kim Hye-kyung while working as a special administrative officer in the general affairs department from July 2018 to September last year, when Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party leader, served as the governor of Gyeonggi-do.
Police believe that Bae paid for Kim Hye-kyung's personal items and food with a Gyeonggi-do corporate card in the process, and received an illegal prescription from Kim.
