At the time, the candidate Choi Jae-hyung is said to have held the microphone given to him and said, "It was difficult in this government. That Jae-hyung Choi will achieve a regime change."



According to the Public Official Election Act, it is forbidden to speak using loudspeakers such as microphones outside of the election campaign period.



In response, a civic group accused Choi Jae-hyung of violating the Public Official Election Act, and the Daegu Metropolitan Election Commission also reviewed Candidate Jae-hyung Choi's actions for violating the election law.
