Two suspects in Daejeon bank robbery and murder were arrested after 21 years.

It was a case of killing one person with a pistol and stealing a

cash bag in an underground parking lot in the middle of the city.

He is a leading suspect in a gun robbery murder case that occurred 21 years ago at Kookmin Bank in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon.

On December 21, 2001, the assailants who appeared in the underground parking lot of the bank attacked the cash transport vehicle, stole a bag containing 300 million won in cash, and fled in a car prepared in advance.

At that time, he also fired a pre-prepared pistol to the head of the bank teller's office, killing him.

The pistol was stolen from a police officer who was patrolling Songchon-dong, Daedeok-gu, Daejeon two months before the crime.

The vehicle used in the crime was found 130 meters away from the scene of the crime, but the perpetrators disappeared.

In August of the following year, three suspected suspects were arrested, but were released due to insufficient evidence as they could not obtain direct evidence such as a pistol.

There was no CCTV at the time of the incident, so there were only 5,000 suspects for 20 years, and it remained an unsolved case for a long time.

But recently the clue has been solved.

We narrowed down the main suspects to four and caught some.

The Daejeon Police Agency's unsolved case investigation team identified two suspects, including a middle-aged man, and arrested them on the afternoon of the 25th.

The police are known to have identified individuals who matched the genes present at the scene of the incident.

Two of these leading suspects are known to have denied some crimes.

After securing additional suspects, accomplices, and evidence, the police will explain the exact circumstances of the incident through a briefing on the 1st of next month.
