.

This cyberattack aimed to steal personal data and deploy ransomware in order to then demand a large sum of money in exchange for the return of the stolen information.

The latest strain of Hive ransomware has been found in the clothing brand's computer system.

Damart wants to be reassuring

“The attackers did not have time to do what they wanted such as fully deploy ransomware and there was no evidence at this stage of any data theft from our customers.

The sales network and its 92 stores have been operating for a few days in a degraded manner.

The sellers no longer have access, because of the piracy, to the state of the stocks or to the orders in progress.

It will take several weeks before a return to normal and the brand will give priority to relaunching internal services such as payroll or supplier settlement.

A complaint was filed with the gendarmerie and the Cnil was notified.
