Heavy rain has been issued in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province from the evening of today (19th), and heavy rain advisories have been issued for Yeoju and Yangpyeong.



According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the amount of precipitation in the province until 11 p.m. is 72 mm in the north of Yeoju, 67.5 mm in Jiwol in Gwangju, 61.5 mm in Guri, and 60 mm in Mount Yongmun in Yangpyeong.



As the rain grew stronger as time went on, heavy rain advisories were issued for Yeoju and Yangpyeong at 11 pm.



A heavy rain advisory is issued when a 3-hour rainfall of 60mm or more than a 12-hour rainfall of 110mm is expected.



It is known that no special rain damage has been reported to the fire department so far.



However, in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province, it is expected that 30 to 60 mm of rain will fall further by tomorrow morning.



An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "The rain is expected to stop in most of the Gyeonggi region around 3 a.m.," he said.
