During the intensive crackdown on narcotics in the second half of this year, the narcotics investigation team of the Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency arrested Mr. A, a Thai smuggling agent, and sold 4.3 kg of methamphetamine, 194 tablets of ecstasy, and 184 g of hemp with a market value of 14.9 billion won. He said he had confiscated the drugs.



In the process of investigating the source of methamphetamine, the police confirmed that a Thai supplier was trying to smuggle methamphetamine through a local delivery company by hiding methamphetamine in the general cargo of certain items, and launched a cooperative investigation with the Thailand Drug Investigation Agency (ONCB). requested.



When the Thai Drug Investigation Agency inspected the suspect cargo stored at the delivery company, 11 kg of methamphetamine was found and confiscated in five packages.



At that time, all shipping addresses listed on the cargo box invoice were confirmed as domestic addresses.



The amount of drugs seized by the police in this case totaled 15.3 kg, including 4.3 kg of methamphetamine confiscated in Korea and 11 kg of methamphetamine in Thailand, which is equivalent to a market value of 51 billion won and can be administered to 510,000 people at the same time.



The police announced that they would prevent smuggling of narcotics into the country in advance through intensive crackdown on the domestic drug distribution network through the dark web and continuous cooperation with foreign investigative agencies.
