I've seen many articles about how much the executives of major corporations are paid in the first half of this year.

If you look at the semiannual reports published by each company, Su-Yong Cho and Min-Soo Yeo, former co-CEOs of Kakao, received the highest remuneration.

The remuneration amounts were 36.1 billion won and 33.2 billion won, respectively, thanks to the profits obtained from stock options exercised while jointly retired in March of this year.

Among the heads of major conglomerates, Shin Dong-bin, chairman of the Lotte Group, was paid the most with 10.28 billion won.

LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo came in second with 7.1 billion won.

In addition, Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon received 5.4 billion won, and LX Group Chairman Koo Bon-joon received 5.49 billion won.

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong continued his unpaid management as he did not receive any remuneration in the first half of this year.
