A man in his 40s who escaped after murdering his wife in Incheon and stabbing his mother-in-law with a knife was caught by the police in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, three days later.



The Incheon Michuhol Police Station announced today (7th) that A (42) was arrested at a motel in Suwon on charges of murder and attempted murder.



Mr. A is suspected of running away after stabbing his wife B in her 40s several times with a knife at her home in Michuhol-gu, Incheon at about 0:37 am on the 4th.



Mother-in-law C in her 60s, who was with her at the time, was also stabbed with a weapon wielded by A and evacuated.



When paramedics arrived at the scene, Mr. B was lying in the living room inside her house, and Mr. C was lying outside the house near the road.



A passerby who found her C informed 119, saying, "The person stabbed by her knife is down", and Mr. A's daughter also reported that "her father stabbed her mother and grandmother with a knife.



It is known that A fled to Incheon and Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, using Korando vehicles and public transportation right after the crime.



Earlier, the police said that Mr. A, who escaped, was 168 cm tall and wore a dark blue short-sleeved T-shirt and long pants with sports-type hair, and shared his impressions and attire with a taxi driver-only application.



While the police organized an investigation team consisting of 30 investigators, the court issued an arrest warrant for Mr.



Then, after analyzing the closed circuit (CC) TV around the scene of the incident to pursue the suspect, Mr. A was arrested at a motel in Paldal-gu, Suwon-si around 1 am today, three days after the escape.



The police believe that Mr. A committed the crime during a marital quarrel and plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.



A police official said, "After the crime, Mr. A went into hiding with his cell phone off, but he identified the location of the suspect through investigation." "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant after investigation."
