Today (5th) around 10:17 am, a fire broke out in a building specializing in dialysis in Gwango-dong, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, killing 5 people.
The fire occurred in the Haksan Building in Gwango-dong, Icheon-si, with a restaurant and office on the first floor, an oriental medicine clinic and a screen golf course on the second and third floors, and a hospital on the fourth floor.
It is estimated that the fire started at the screen golf course on the 3rd floor, and it is known that there were many patients inside the hospital on the 4th floor.
Five people, including dialysis patients and nurses, died in the fire, and 41 suffered minor injuries from inhaling smoke.
The big fire was put out at 10:55 and was completely extinguished in about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
A firefighter official said, "Everyone was rescued and no one was isolated."
The fire department will investigate the exact cause of the fire as soon as the situation is cleared up.
