Constitutional Court Justice Young-Jin Lee is in the midst of a controversy over the fact that he received golf entertainment from a businessman who was in the process of divorce.

Judge Young-jin Lee acknowledged that she was entertained, but explained that she did not discuss the lawsuit.

However, the businessman who entertained them insists that the explanation is not true.

Mr. A, who was in the process of divorce, was introduced to Constitutional Court Judge Lee Young-jin through a high school classmate in March of this year and played golf together.



A total of 4 golf and meals, including a lawyer in charge of the lawsuit, were paid by Mr. A.



[Mr./Informant: When we played golf once, (a classmate) suggested and OK, and (four people) paid 1.28 million won by myself.]



At that time, Judge Lee Young-jin was That's what A said.



He also said he sent the lawyer 5 million won in cash and golf clothing to hand over to this judge.



The judge admitted receiving golf and meals, but explained that she had never received cash or clothing and never said that she could help the case.



Mr. A is confirming that the cash and clothing gifts were not delivered late by the lawyer, but claimed that the explanation of the judge's remarks was false.

a general judge, it is pointed out that the golf entertainment alone is grounds for disciplinary action.



There are cases where judges who received golf entertainment have been disciplined, and the rules regarding golf entertainment are also stipulated in the Judge Disciplinary Rules.



However, there is no separate disciplinary procedure for constitutional judges.



Judge Lee said in a phone call with SBS, "I am reflecting a lot," but said, "I have nothing to tell you" about whereabouts.
