A man in his 40s who trespassed into the house of a woman living alone and even assaulted him was sentenced to prison in the appeals court.

The Daegu District Court's 1st Criminal Division (Presiding Judge Lee Sang-gyun) overturned the lower court's judgment of 1 year and 4 months in prison and 3 years of probation in the appeal against Mr. A (44), who was charged with special injury and house trespassing announced today (3rd) that he was sentenced to prison.

A went up to the roof of the one-room building where the victim B (40s) lived with the door code she found out from the delivery man in Gimcheon, Gyeongbuk at around 10:43 pm on August 19 last year.

She later trespassed through the balcony of Mr. B's house, located on the fifth floor, beyond the roof railing.

Mr. B, who was sleeping at the time, screamed in surprise at the pretense of popularity, and Mr. A was handed over to trial on charges of assaulting Mr.

It was confirmed that Mr. A knew in advance that Mr. B was living alone, such as seeing Mr. B changing clothes or sleeping through the window, living opposite Mr. B's studio.

In the first trial, Mr. A sentenced him to probation considering that he had reached an agreement with the victim, but the prosecutor in charge appealed against this.

The court of appeals said, "The defendant appears to have entered the house on purpose knowing that the victim was living alone, and that he had a criminal record of being sentenced to probation in prison for a crime that inflicted injury while attempting to rape by breaking into a residence in 2006, etc. took into account," he said, explaining the reason for his sentencing.
