Some of the rulings made in the past by Jeju District Court Chief Oh Seok-jun, the first candidate for Supreme Court Justice in the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, are controversial.

Candidate Oh Seok-jun, who thought it was justified to fire the bus driver who stole 800 won, judged that it was unfair to dismiss a prosecutor who received 850,000 won entertainment.

For more details, reporter Han So-hee will tell you.

In 2010, bus driver A was fired for stealing 800 won from the bus fare twice, 400 won each.

Mr. A complained that it was customary to use change for coffee, and the Central Labor Relations Commission also ruled that the dismissal was invalid.

The bus company appealed, and the court found that the dismissal was justified.

It is a basic trust between labor and management that the bus driver pays all fares to the company, but it was broken, and I heard that 400 won per passenger is 6.25% of the transportation fee, which is most of the company's revenue.

The presiding judge of the court that pronounced this judgment was Candidate Seok-Jun Oh.

In 2013, a ruling was made that it was unfair to dismiss a prosecutor who received 850,000 won worth of entertainment from a case-related lawyer.

This was also the judgment of the court, where Candidate Oh was the presiding judge.

It is said that the dismissal of Prosecutor B, who was entertained four times at an entertainment pub, was too heavy and lost its validity in terms of social norms.

Prosecutor B, who was reinstated thanks to this, was in charge of the main investigation until recently and recently became a lawyer.

This is why critics say that candidate Oh was strict with the bus driver's 800 won and generous with the prosecutor's 850,000 won.

[Han Sang-hee/Professor, Konkuk University Law School (co-representative, Solidarity for Participation): (Prosecutors) Since they are law enforcement officers, a stricter standard than anyone else must be applied. It is a judgment that is not in line with the justice of the judge (.)]

Regarding this, Candidate Oh's side said, "We plan to answer faithfully at the hearing."
