The Incheon District Prosecutor's Office for Women and Children Crime Investigation (Prosecutor Mi-ok Gu) has extended the arrest period of A, a first-year student at Inha University, who is accused of using a camera, etc. under the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Quasi-Rape and Sexual Violence Crimes.



As the court accepted the prosecution's extension request, the arrest period of Mr. A, which was scheduled to end on the 31st of last month, was extended to the 10th of this month.



According to the Criminal Procedure Act, the arrest period for a suspect in the prosecution investigation stage is 10 days, and it can be extended up to 10 days one more time with the permission of the court.



Previously, Mr. A is accused of sexually assaulting and falling to death of her classmate, Mr. B, on the third floor of a college building on the Inha University campus in Michuhol-gu, Incheon around 1 am on the 15th of last month.
