As of 9 p.m., the number is 3,000 more than the previous day, and it is expected that the number of new confirmed cases will exceed 100,000, which did not exceed yesterday.
The number of new confirmed cases, which fell below 10,000, will rise again to 100,000 after 100 days.
The doubling phenomenon has slowed somewhat, but the government expects the increase to continue.

In particular, mutated viruses are the main risk factor.
The BA.5 mutation became the dominant species with a detection rate of 49.1% in Korea last week, and BA.2.75, which spreads faster than BA.5, was the first case of local infection.
A large number of young people infected can also increase the spread.
Among the confirmed cases last week, 20s accounted for 18.4% and teens 16.1%.
If the mutant virus spreads among young people who are highly active during summer vacation, the daily number of confirmed cases may exceed the government estimate of 'up to 280,000 people' at the end of August.
The number of suspected cases of reinfection is also increasing.
The reinfection rate among confirmed patients rose from 2.86% in the last week of last month to 3.72% last week.
The quarantine authorities announced today that they would unveil a voluntary social distancing practice plan with the participation of the people, saying, "This is the first relapse without government-led social distancing."
