history of resistance

As you study history, you learn many resistance events.

And there are several types of resistors.

Each of these resistances has different names depending on who the group is, whether the spirit of resistance is contained, and whether the existing system has collapsed.

Some resistances become rebellions, movements, coup d'Etats, or even called revolutions.

Sometimes an event of resistance is called a riot, depending on how historians evaluate it, and later turns into a movement.

A typical example is the Donghak Peasant Movement.

In the past, the Donghak Peasant Movement was called 'Donghak Ran'.

Even now, there is still a view of the Donghak Difficulty, but today, the expression of the Donghak Peasant Movement has been solidified.

The peasants who were the main body of resistance put forward the will of patriotism, 'helping the work of the country and making the people comfortable'.

In addition, in that the reform was promoted by proposing abolition reform to the court, it is considered to be somewhat different from the accidental rebellion (亂).

① Rebellion (亂) Rebellion is,

in a way, the lowest rated case in the history of resistance.

The rebellion is an attempt to overthrow the system caused by the ruling class against the ruling class by the subject.

And this is the case when an attempt to overthrow the system is unsuccessful.

In addition, those of resistance that are evaluated as naan correspond to cases where the so-called 'resistance spirit' is not found.

Simply put, it is an accidental half-year.

I don't think the insurgents share a particular ideology or offer alternatives.

However, it can be seen that the level of stagnation is very high.

Several chapters are introduced in the history books we learn.

There are the Hwanggeonjeok rebellion, the Manjeok rebellion, the Mangi and Mangsoy rebellion, the Hong Gyeongrae rebellion, and the Lee Injwa rebellion.

② Movement

There are many historical events that are called movements.

The movement is also dominated by the ruling class.

The subject of the movement can't stand the injustice of the ruling class and resists it. Just like the rebellion, it tries to overthrow the ruling class.

However, it cannot be said that the ruling system has changed as a result.

What is different from Naan is that the resistance entity shares a certain spirit of resistance.

In Korean history, independence activists who fought for independence during the Japanese colonial era, and democracy fighters who fought for democracy during the dictatorship period.

These are the spirits that our descendants are imitating to this day.

That is why in history, it is called the March 1st Movement and the May 18th Democratization Movement.

③ Coup

A coup d'état is similar to 'the act of seizing power within the upper echelons'.

Unlike Nan and Movement, the object of resistance is not the ruling class.

A group that is already classified as a ruling class is an attempt to seize power against another ruling class.

Coups often happen by surprise and are carried out by a small number of people.

A coup d'état, whether successful or unsuccessful in an attempt to overthrow power, is called a coup.

There is a limit to the view that coup actors usually share a certain spirit of resistance.

Coup d'états, therefore, occur mainly in military regimes, also called military coups.

Historically, soldiers are often the subjects.

It is difficult to see it as a resistance that was mobilized with the support of the people on its back.

A typical example is Chun Doo-hwan's 12/12 coup.

Last year, the Myanmar military overthrew state adviser Aung San Suu Kyi and seized power, often referred to as a 'Myanmar coup'.

④ Revolution

Revolution is the resistance that brings about the greatest change.

A revolution usually refers to an attempt to overthrow the system by the ruling class against the ruling class.

The revolutionary agents share a common spirit of resistance.

And it gets popular support.

One big difference between naan and activist is if an attempt to overthrow the system is successful.

It refers to when the ruling class withdraws itself due to resistance from the ruled, or when the insurgents use force to drive out the ruling class.

Statistic Disintegration Level This is a very severe stage.

Consider a historical event with the word revolution attached to it.

President Syngman Rhee had to resign due to the April 19 Revolution in Korea.

And the French Revolution, the British Revolution, and the Cuban Revolution learned from world history all result in the king or the supreme leader being ousted by the revolutionary forces.

Police chief meeting, is it me?

A general police officer corresponding to the local police chief held a meeting on July 23 (Sat).

This is to share opinions on the recent issue of the new police department within the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the enactment of the Commissioner's Command Rule.

Of course, as all the participants said that they opposed the establishment of the police station, it can be seen that they gathered to voice their opposition to the government's policy policy.

Some say that the police chief's meeting is a "police riot," a riot.

Can the police chief's meeting fall under the aforementioned column?

It is self-evident that the superintendents who attended the meeting did not narrowly gather for the purpose of dismissing a candidate for the National Police Agency, or broadly to overthrow the national system.

Also, it cannot be said that they convened the meeting accidentally or accidentally.

It is unreasonable to consider that it is difficult to say that a group of opposing voices within one's own organization is expressed.

This police chief's meeting is even more so.

Police chiefs meeting, coup?

It would be inappropriate to call the police chiefs gathered over the weekend a riot, but claiming it was a coup makes less sense.

It can only be seen as a case of ignorance or misunderstanding of the meaning of a coup.

As I said before, the police chiefs did not have a meeting with the purpose of overthrowing the current regime.

Also, as the meeting date was announced in advance and reported to each office, it cannot be regarded as a surprise act.

Nothing meets the requirements for a coup d'état.

Superintendents can be regarded as high-ranking officers within the police organization, but as the definition of a coup d'etat, the number of superintendents is so large that they are considered to be a minority of the ruling class.

The meeting also received support from other fellow employees.

Rather, on the day of the meeting, I saw that the police works council came to cheer, or that employees with a lower rank than the superintendent came personally to give encouragement.

In addition, when Superintendent Ryu Sam-young was placed on standby after the meeting of the chiefs, it can be seen that the number of articles supporting the meeting of the chiefs increased.

Police chief meeting, what's the mood?

On the day of July 23, in front of the Police Human Resources Development Center Choi Gyu-sik Hall where the meeting was held, I stood around and watched the situation even before the meeting started.

Before the meeting, wreaths cheering for the meeting of the chiefs were lined up from the first floor, and even a coffee car from Ulsan City Hall.

There were placards everywhere to the effect of cheering.

Police chief meeting, discussion?

Since it is private, reporters cannot know all the details of the meeting.

However, they were able to indirectly infer the material titles they saw at the conference hall by looking over their shoulder and reporting on the superintendent who attended the conference.

On that day, the superintendents seem to have reviewed the series of processes by date immediately after the announcement of the recommendation of the Police System Development Committee of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

And I seem to have looked at the proposed rule on the direction of the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety this time.

In addition, it is presumed that they conducted a public opinion poll on the establishment of a police station and shared data on the level of public interest in it.

On that day, I happened to meet a superintendent whom I had known for a long time.

I asked how the meeting was.

As Superintendent Ryu Sam-young said in front of reporters before the meeting, he said that he looked to see if there were any illegal parts in the process of promoting the revision of the enforcement ordinance with the main focus of the police department as well as the commanding rule of the Commissioner.

He also said that he was concerned about how to organize and communicate the results of the meeting effectively.

"To empower the police leadership"

One thing I remembered was that the superintendents in attendance also exchanged opinions on how to empower the police chief.

It is said that they also partially sympathized with the fact that the top leaders, including Yoon Hee-geun, a candidate for the Commissioner of the National Police Agency, were in a difficult situation.

It also means that the meeting was not held for the purpose of disturbing anyone.

Still, while expressing concerns about the establishment of a police station, he said that he thought about how to create an atmosphere so that the top officials could properly voice their voices in the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

Knowing these circumstances, can you call the police chiefs meeting me or a coup d'etat?

Any society or group should be able to speak out and tolerate it.

It seems absurd to try to keep your mouth shut, saying that it is a violation of the service regulations after bringing in all the regulations because you have a different voice.
