Corona 19 self-test kits will be available for purchase at convenience stores nationwide in the future.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has identified about 48,000 convenience stores nationwide from 7 convenience store chains (Ministop, 7-Eleven, Storyway, E-Mart 24, Seaspace, CU, GS25) to sell COVID-19 self-test kits. It was announced today (20th) that it will be expanded to .

According to this measure, convenience stores will be able to sell self-test kits for a limited time until September 30, regardless of whether or not they report the medical device sales business.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety explained that this measure has been implemented so that people can easily purchase self-test kits regardless of time and place, such as at night, on weekends, or on vacation.

According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the weekly production capacity of 10 domestic self-test kits is 47.9 million people, securing sufficient production and supply capabilities.

We plan to quickly distribute self-inspection kits according to the expansion of sales outlets.

However, the sales start date of some convenience stores may vary depending on the delivery situation.

Seven-Eleven, CU, and GS25 are providing information on the location and inventory of convenience stores that have self-test kits in their applications (apps).

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, "We are continuously monitoring the production and distribution status of self-test kits, as well as online price trends."
