According to NASA officials, the image is the deepest and sharpest infrared image of the universe to date.
“This piece of the vast universe covers an area of the sky about the size of a grain of sand that someone on Earth holds at arm's length,” the experts explained.
The image shows the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 at a distance of 4.6 billion light years.
It is specified that the publication of a series of images from the telescope will take place on July 12.
