Dong-soo Han, who was appointed by the Moon Jae-in government and took the lead in disciplinary action against President Yoon Seok-yeol when he served as the Prosecutor General, recently submitted a resignation letter to the Ministry of Justice.

Shortly after his appointment, Director Han Dong-soo, appointed by former Justice Minister Cho Kuk, who was about to retire in October 2019, has been at odds with President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was then the Prosecutor General, from the people of the Moon Jae-in government, including former Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae.

When former Minister Choo demanded disciplinary action against President Yoon, he appeared as a witness at the disciplinary committee, and in connection with the Channel A case, he collided with President Yoon while trying to inspect the case, then Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon.

[Han Dong-soo / Chief Inspector General of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office (last May 10): (The President) put his leg on the desk and put the report in the left corner in a very thick and angry voice while using the smartphone, go, leave it there! (He said. )]

Last year, as the Ministry of Justice decided to reappoint, the term of Director Han was extended until October next year, but it was predicted that it would be difficult to continue performing his duties as the government changed.

In particular, there is an analysis that the range of movement has narrowed as a large number of so-called 'Yun Seok-yeol line' prosecutors have been placed in major positions such as the Supreme Prosecutor's Inspection Division.

A manager has resigned, but it is unclear whether his resignation letter will be accepted immediately.

Director Han has been accused of omission to report to the Ministry of Justice in relation to the leak of the indictment of former Seoul High Prosecutor Lee Seong-yoon.
