Cyworld decided to start a service that inherits photos and writings of recently passed away members to the bereaved family, but it is said that more than 2,000 applications have been received.

Previously, Cyworld Jet, which operates Cyworld, announced that when a member dies, only the ones that have been made public among the photos and texts posted while he was alive will be provided to the bereaved family.

As of the 30th of last month, the number of applications was 2,381.

Of these, about 1,800 applications were submitted with the required documents required by Cyworld Jet.

The company requires that a copy of the expelled member's expulsion and the applicant's family relationship certificate be submitted.

With this service as an opportunity, it seems that the discussion about the 'digital inheritance right' in Korea will be active.

In Korea, there are various opinions about the type and scope of digital heritage and the qualifications of heirs, but no legal basis has been established yet.
