This is a thesis submitted to an online journal by the artificial intelligence research team of Professor Yun Seong-ro of Seoul National University in June of last year.

We have discussed the construction of an AI neural network for 'knowledge distillation', a compression technique to reduce the learning time of artificial intelligence.

An article alleging that this paper plagiarized papers published by Hong Kong and Chinese researchers, respectively, has been posted on the Seoul National University online community.

We compared these papers.

This is the part that explains the concept of 'knowledge distillation' in Professor Yoon's thesis.

It's the same except for changing 'is' to 'has been' in the sentence of the Hong Kong research paper.

However, there are no citations for that paper.

Some of the words and prepositions were different from the Chinese research paper, but the structure and word selection were the same.

The first author of the thesis in question is Mr. Lee, the son of Minister of Science, Technology and Information Lee Jong-ho.

Professor Seong-ro Yoon was also listed as the corresponding author.

Previously, the Seoul National University Research Integrity Investigation Committee has been conducting an investigation since the 27th of last month, as allegations were raised that Professor Yoon's research team submitted a plagiarism thesis at the CVPR conference held in the United States last week.

Regarding the additional plagiarism allegations, a Seoul National University official said, "The investigation committee is confidential, so it is impossible to confirm whether this allegation of plagiarism is also subject to investigation."

SBS reporters contacted Professor Yun Seong-ro several times, but could not hear his position on the allegations.
