A body sunk in a wall was found on Wednesday after the discovery of traces of blood by the police during a search of a cafe in downtown Nice.

The manager would have admitted having had a dispute with a man, having killed him, then having sunk him "in a concrete slab recently".

An unidentified body, sunk in a wall, was discovered on Wednesday in Nice following an open judicial investigation for "kidnapping and forcible confinement followed by death", the prosecution said Thursday.

“Custody is in progress”, also indicated Parvine Derivery, deputy public prosecutor of Nice.

The body not yet identified

According to a police source, as part of the investigation, the police discovered traces of blood during a search of the Atrium café in the city center of Nice, not far from the Promenade des Anglais.

The cafe manager would have admitted having had a dispute with a man, having killed him, then having sunk him "in a concrete slab recently", according to the same police source.

Firefighters were then called and found the body of a man in a freshly poured concrete slab.

They extracted the body, which has not yet been identified, according to this police source.
