Here in Seoul, where I am standing, it started to rain more and more, and as you can see behind me now, it is still raining quite a lot.

The heavy rain warning that went into effect in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province from 7pm yesterday evening has been maintained until now.

If you look at the current hourly precipitation by region, Hwaseong and Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, receive the most rain with about 40mm, followed by Goyang, Ansan, and Anyang, Gyeonggi-do with about 30mm.

In Seoul, there is a difference depending on the region, but it is raining 10-20mm.

The water level of Jamsu Bridge here in Seoul was 4.21m as of 6:20 a little while ago, and is getting closer to 5.5m, the standard that blocks pedestrians.

There has been no damage in the metropolitan area yet, but the Seosan area in Chungcheongnam-do was once flooded with heavy rains exceeding 100mm per hour.

As of 0:30 today, hourly precipitation was 105 mm in Seosan, 82 in Dangjin, and 81 mm in Taean.

Due to this torrential rain, fire departments in Chungcheongnam-do have received more than 200 reports of rain damage so far.

Among them, one case related to lifesaving and eight rescuers from low-lying areas were all unharmed.

In addition, about 240 places including roads in residential areas were submerged due to poor drainage.
