A 40-year-old man who wrapped the body of a cohabitant with tape and then imprisoned him and left hundreds of messages was sentenced to prison.

According to the legal community today (27th), the 2nd Criminal Division of the Chuncheon District Court (Chief Judge Lee Young-jin) sentenced A (48), who was charged with violating the Special Confinement and Stalking Punishment Act, to 2 years in prison as in the original case, and 40 hours of stalking. I have been ordered to complete the treatment program.

Person A is accused of arguing with Mr. B, whom he was living with, on November 18 last year, and then imprisoned by tying Mr. B's face and body with tape.

After that, when Mr. B left the house, Mr. A called or texted Mr. B 126 times, and frequently visited Mr. B's parents' house, rang the doorbell and pulled the doorknob.

Previously, it was revealed that Mr. A had knocked Mr. B down and crushed him, then assaulted him, slapped him in the face several times during an argument, and threatened to injure Mr. B's children.

A, who stood in court, was sentenced to two years in prison by the court of first instance, saying, "The quality of the crime is very bad, and the victim must have suffered considerable suffering."

The appellate court also dismissed the appeal filed by Mr. A and the prosecution, saying, "After the verdict of the original trial, there has been no significant change in the conditions for sentencing and the sentencing standards."
