There was smoke from the subway platform at Garak Market Station, and citizens were evacuated.
According to the Fire Department and Seoul Transportation Corporation, fire smoke occurred inside the UPS room of the platform at Garak Market Station on Subway Line 3 in Songpa-gu, Seoul around 2:26 pm today (24th).
Inside, there is a battery that supplies emergency power to the platform screen door, which ignited an unknown fire and was completely extinguished around 3pm.
Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Due to this fire, the two-way train of Line 3 passed through Garak Market Station without stopping for about 30 minutes until 2:53 pm, causing inconvenience to citizens and is now operating normally.
