The police arrested four people per day who imprisoned the intellectually disabled in a motel for two days and assaulted them to force them to use their IDs.

Today (22nd), the Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, announced that they are investigating four people per day, including Mr. A, who is charged with joint confinement and special assault.

They are accused of detaining and assaulting two people, including a person with intellectual disabilities, at a motel in Seoul and Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, from the afternoon of the 21st to the dawn of the same day.

At around 3 a.m. that day, the motel staff thought it strange that the victim was walking around the motel hallway alone and reported it to the police.

The police, who responded to the report, judged that Mr. B and others were detained, and arrested Mr. A and his gang as a current criminal.

It is said that they forced Mr. B and others to fill out a loan document stating that they 'borrowed money', and also claimed that the police officer who was dispatched had a real debt relationship.

As a result of the investigation, it was confirmed that the group of Mr. A and Mr. B, who is a grade 3 intellectual disability, met in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul the day before and moved to Bucheon, without knowing each other.

A police official said, "In the case of an intellectually disabled person, a trusted person must be present to be investigated, but such an investigation was not conducted not long after the case was received.
