The police launched an investigation after an incident in which ducks living in a river in Seoul were stoned to death.

On the 13th and 16th, the Dobong Police Station in Seoul received a report from residents that they saw men who looked like students throw stones at a flock of ducks in Banghakcheon.

Police confirmed through CCTV that two men riding a kickboard while passing a river promenade struck and killed six mallard duck families with stones.

The police later posted a warning sign at the place where the incident occurred and said, 'If you attend voluntarily, you will be admitted as self-inflicted, but if you do not show up until the end, you will be subject to the greatest punishment prescribed by the law.'

The investigator in charge explained the reason for the warning, saying, 'We have confirmed that the suspects repeatedly appear in the same place and commit the same crime'.

On the internet, posts from residents who felt sorry for the death of the duck family, who were considered the neighborhood mascots, were posted one after another online, such as 'I was curious because I couldn't see the duck family these days.
