Former Captain Lee Geun, who served in the Ukrainian War, was handed over to the prosecution on charges of violating the passport law.



The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's International Crime Investigation Unit announced yesterday (14th) that it had transferred the former captain to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office without detention on charges of violating the passport law.



It is said that the former captain admitted to the charges during a police investigation.



Former Captain Lee left for Ukraine in March to participate in the war against the Russian army, but returned home on the 27th of last month to heal his injuries.



The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has filed a complaint with the police on charges of violating passport laws against former Captain Lee, who entered Ukraine without a passport, where a travel warning level 4 was issued.



If he violates the passport law, he is punished with imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of not more than 10 million won.
