Among the data obtained by raiding the personnel-related departments of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on March 25, the prosecution's attention was focused on e-mails.

This is because, in an email exchanged with officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, it was revealed that Park Sang-hyeok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, who was then the executive officer of the Blue House's chief human resources office, was implicated in this case.

Prosecutors seem to have confirmed the content to support the allegation that Rep. Park pushed the resignation of the heads of agencies appointed by the Park Geun-hye government through an official from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy between 2017 and 2018.

In the investigation of former and current officials of the Ministry of Industry, it is said that based on the relevant email contents, it was reported that the Blue House had intervened in the resignation process of agency heads.

Prosecutors are planning to decide the timing of the summons for Rep. Park based on the results of the warrant review against former Minister Baek Un-gyu.

Rep. Park issued a statement today and strongly protested.

Rep. Park said, "The prosecution had asked me to investigate the witnesses on the 6th and 7th." He said, "If necessary, he said he would cooperate, and certain discussions were in progress."

In addition, he criticized, "The old style of leaking to the media, making targets and painting pictures is reviving."
