A couple burst into anger by telling the story of being charged a higher price than the menu after eating at a meat restaurant.

Yesterday (12th), an article titled 'The restaurant owner is a scammer' was posted on an online community.

Writer A, who was lucky that her wife visited a restaurant to eat her favorite meat, ordered two portions of king ribs, miso soup, and alcoholic beverages at the restaurant that day.

After the meal, couple A requested payment by card, and the restaurant paid a total of 56,000 won.

However, the price was a bit odd.

This is because, at the price range stated on the menu, the total amount that Mr. A had to pay was 44,000 won.

Mr. A protested, "The price is strange," and the restaurant replies, "(The menu price) was last year's price.

" Even if the price is taken into account, the amount to be paid by Mr. A was only 53,000 won.

Mr. A raised the problem again, and the restaurant said that he would refund 1,000 won, but returned 3,000 won.

Mr. A complained, "I couldn't amend the price list because I was busy, but there was no information about the increased price anywhere in the store."

In the end, Mr. A reported the restaurant to the police.

It is known that the restaurant explained to the police who were dispatched to the scene, "I raised the price a month ago, but I couldn't fix it."

Person A added, "The police said they would take action (the restaurant) for violating the Food Sanitation Act. They said it could also be reported for fraud."

Meanwhile, according to the current enforcement regulations of the Food Sanitation Act, restaurants must display the price inclusive of food price, VAT, and service charge.

If there is a price change depending on the circumstances of the restaurant, the changed price must also be indicated, and failure to comply may result in punishment for violating the Food Sanitation Act.

In addition, if the price is raised without notice, it may even constitute a crime of fraud.
